Mr. Aravind Kumar – Founder and Executive Director
Aravind founded VRDP in 2010 with the vision of empowering marginalized communities through sustainable development. With over 15 years of experience in grassroots development, Aravind leads the organization with a passion for social justice and community empowerment. His strategic vision has guided VRDP in addressing key issues like child marriage, child labor, and women’s rights in rural Tamil Nadu.
Ms. Priya Rani – Director of Women’s Empowerment
Priya is responsible for leading our women’s development programs, focusing on gender equality, vocational training, and advocacy for women’s rights. With a background in social work and community development, Priya has worked extensively with rural women, empowering them through education and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Suresh Babu – Director of Education Programs
Dr. Suresh is responsible for ensuring that children in marginalized communities have access to quality education.
With a Ph.D. in Education Policy and a passion for child rights, Suresh’s initiatives focus on preventing child labor, promoting child welfare, and creating opportunities for every child to thrive.
Mr. Karthik Rajan – Director of Labor Rights and AdvocacyKarthik leads our efforts to organize unorganized laborers and advocate for better working conditions and legal rights. With a legal background and a deep understanding of labor rights, Karthik is committed to empowering laborers to fight for fair wages, safety, and dignity in the workplace.
Ms. Anjali Devi – Program Manager, Rural Development & Sustainability
Anjali heads our sustainable development initiatives, including environmental sustainability and capacity building. With her expertise in renewable energy and sustainable agriculture, she works to ensure that our programs are eco-friendly and long-lasting.
Mr. Raghavan S – Program Manager, Child Protection and Education
Raghavan works closely with local schools, community groups, and NGOs to improve the quality of education for children, focusing on child protection, prevention of child marriage, and child labor. He also coordinates our scholarship programs for underprivileged children.
